SQE 1: Live Tuition

Other than my live revision weekend training, Schatz Legal Learning also provides a full training course. You only have three attempts to pass the SQE in a six-year period, so it’s really important to make sure you’re ready before sitting the exams. The best way to prepare is with our specialised courses for each part of the SQE assessment.

We’ve got all the resources you’ll need to gain knowledge on every area of legal practice in preparation for your exams, plus you’ll get access to our mock tests to ensure you are exam ready.

Classes are on-line via Zoom at  *10.30am-12noon each Saturday morning [excluding reading weeks and public holidays] and each session will be recorded, password protected and posted for you to start keeping a ‘file’ of the recordings for your revision. At the end of the course for both SQE1 and SQE2 you will be invited at no extra cost to my revision weekends just before each sitting of the exams [see my ‘Live training weekend’ page for details].

Each SQE1 course will have two intakes a year: the first to start on Saturday 28th January 2025, with a view to you sitting the SQE1 exam in January 2026, and the second in July 2025 with a view to you sitting in July 2026.

SQE 2: Live Tuition

Exactly as above for SQE1, my full training course for SQE2 will be held via zoom at *9am-10.30am each Saturday, [as above] also beginning on 28th January 2025, to get you ready to sit SQE2 in October 2025. A second intake will also begin in July 2025, to get you ready to sit in April 2026. All classes are recorded and posted as for SQE1. You are also invited at no extra cost to my live revision weekends prior to each examination sitting.

SQE2 is designed to assess your practical legal skills across a number of practice areas, so our preparation courses focus on just that. To pass, you need to demonstrate your ability to accurately advise clients and apply the law to different circumstances.

This includes interviewing clients, making advocacy presentations to the court, writing legal advice, identifying the right documents to use and being able to draft them yourself.

Our SQE2 preparation courses focus on getting you ready for the practical elements of the assessment, alongside further developing your legal knowledge and skills.

You wouldn’t be ready for a driving test without spending some time in a car and it’s the same for SQE2; you can’t just rely on reading a book — you need to practice too. Our experienced tutors and abundant resources will make sure you’re ready for the exam.

Please note that the SQE is an external assessment. The cost of this is not included in your course fee. See SQE/SRA website for details Booking assessments | SQE | Solicitors Regulation Authority
